Nature
TIME-SPRING
Row of forget-me-knots, shimmer in breeze
Side of the drivesway, through tall trees
Leads to an orchard, laden with late fruit
Process-marmalkade-pickles-chutney-suit
Nature waits her beauty, colours bright
Already in bud, stretching to the light
Spring's here, already warm breezes blow
Soon new shootings, will-blossom-show
Fresh feelings, yet everywhere see
Winter is gone, warmth the new key
We've longed for summer, cotton to wear
Beach-days, sunshine-nothing compares
With early spring colours, still bright
Adding depth, refreshing new sight
We wait the hot sun, already heating
Rainfall gives water, for greenery greetings
Smell of mowed lawns, as rapidly grows
Over landscape, allow eyes to flow
Welcome, seasonal-and-rightful-change
We know the newcomer, SPRING by name
